Open House at SIUC
No college search is complete until you have made that essential visit to campus. During an SIUC Open House you will have an opportunity to meet with representatives from Admissions, Financial Aid and University Housing, attend information sessions, take campus and residence hall tours, attend a college/departmental showcase, and browse an Information Fair with representatives from academic and student support services. These events are scheduled for your convenience on school holidays and weekends. Open House events at SIUC are interesting, informative and fun!
Pre-registration for Open House events is not required, but is helpful to us for planning purposes. To pre-register for an Open House, please submit the Open House pre-registration form . An e-mail confirmation will be sent to those who pre-register beginning one-month prior to the date of the Open House. Pre-registration closes four business days before the day of the Open House, and those who did not pre-register are welcome to register on-site on the day of the event. The agenda for each Open House event is posted approximately three weeks before each event and may be viewed by clicking on the Open House date. We recommend that you plan to arrive at the Open House at least one half-hour before the starting time of the event so you can get a place to park, check-in, and grab some refreshments.
Open house activities include:
- Guided tours of campus, our residence halls, and select colleges or academic departments.
- Information sessions on a variety of topics of interest to prospective students.
- An information fair featuring representatives from our academic and student support services areas.
- Individual counseling with representatives from Admissions, Financial Aid, and University Housing.
